Here’s the
experience we’re building.
Connect a compatible adapter to your car’s OBD-II port. Pair it with the app while safely parked.
See available fault codes and readings, then use AI-guided explanations to understand what they may mean.
Prepare for a repair conversation or explore coding options specifically validated for your vehicle.
Your car speaks in codes and readings. VYNSCOPE is being built to put them in context, so your next question is a better one.
AI can be wrong. Vehicle data and explanations support a qualified diagnosis; they don’t replace one.
Free and open source by design. We’re making the information inside your car easier to understand—and the code behind the app open to explore.

Plain-language context for fault codes, possible causes, and the questions worth asking next.
Explore supported parameters such as engine speed and coolant temperature, with units and context.
Use the code, symptom, and reading together to help describe the issue to a qualified technician.
Vehicle-specific coding is a planned part of the experience, subject to feature and compatibility validation.
The VYNSCOPE app is being built as free, open-source software. Explore how it works and follow development in the public app repository.

Understand compatibilityDiagnostics support does not guarantee coding support. No vehicle or feature support is confirmed yet.
Examples of preference categories—not a support list.
Coding may affect vehicle behavior. Availability depends on model, equipment, control module, and software. Follow vehicle-specific instructions, maintain the required power supply, and work only while safely parked. Some changes may require professional recovery.
The port is the starting point. Your vehicle, phone, adapter, and desired feature all need to work together.
An OBD-II connector alone doesn’t mean every vehicle system or coding feature is accessible.
Compatibility validation is in progress.
Initial development targets BMW vehicles with an OBDLink CX.
In-car verification is pending. Please wait for confirmed
compatibility before buying hardware for this app.
Vehicle data can be personal. Clear permissions and transparent handling are part of the product we intend to build.
The planned experience will explain what information is sent for AI analysis before you choose to share it.
Retention, deletion, service providers, and security practices will be documented before launch.
Privacy and security details are still being finalized. This interactive demo uses sample data and does not connect to a vehicle.
A few things to know before you plug in.
VYNSCOPE is a free, open-source app in development that will connect to a compatible OBD-II adapter to help explain vehicle data with AI. The planned experience combines diagnostics, contextual readings, and vehicle-specific coding where validated.
Support has not been confirmed yet. Compatibility will depend on your make, model, year, market, phone, adapter, and selected feature. Generic OBD-II diagnostic access does not guarantee access to every module or coding function.
You’ll need an adapter tested with the app and your phone. Wireless connection types and protocol support vary. We’ll publish a confirmed adapter list before launch; please don’t buy an adapter for this app yet.
No. A fault code is a clue, not a confirmed failed part. AI can make mistakes, and a diagnosis may require inspection and tests by a qualified technician. Follow your vehicle manufacturer’s warnings. A flashing check-engine light can indicate a problem that may damage the catalytic converter.
No. Coding changes supported configuration settings in vehicle modules. Clearing diagnostic codes removes stored diagnostic information and does not repair the cause. Some changes can affect vehicle behavior and may require professional recovery. Neither capability should be assumed from the presence of an OBD-II port.
VYNSCOPE will be free and open source. iPhone and Mac versions are in development; a launch date has not been announced. The initial build focuses on read-only diagnostics and coding backups. AI assistance and vehicle writes are planned. Compatible adapter hardware is separate.
